July YP of the Month

SUMMER IS HERE!  SUMMER!  SUMMER!

Sorry.  We’re excited.  It’s been a long winter.

Luckily, our summer play is actually set in the summer, so that’s nice, AND it stars a sunshiny cast of kids with smiles so warm we’re already tanned just from seeing them.  One such kid is our July YP of the Month.  This young man is one of our comedic kings, bringing his wit and sense of humour to every role he touches.  Always bubbling with ideas, he is extremely committed and devoted to every show show he works on and to every kid in his theatre community.  He’s also a particularly strong improviser, having appeared in two improv-based Cannonball shows.  And who is this bubbly, brave, and boisterous bambino? July’s YP of the Month is…

Andrew Costinak!!!

One fateful day in the summer of 2016 Andrew was playing video games, when he was called upstairs. His interest for acting had just started to peak through school productions, so Andrew’s mom put him in the 2 week CYPT summer camp, little did he know that this one little drama camp was going to change his life. After the camp was over he learned about auditions for The Three Musketeers and since then he has formed the strongest friendships, found his passion, and had the most fun he’s had in his life. This theatre company means so much to me (yeah I’m switching to first person, third person is weird let me live).

Although acting has brought me the most joy I also love photography, spending time with friends, and occasionally dazzling everyone with top notch magic tricks. It probably says this in the intro but I’m performing in The Importance of Being Earnest this summer and couldn’t be more excited.

CYPT has truly been the best thing to ever happen to me and I would like to thank every single person who is a part of this company for making the past 2 years the best of my life. I look forward to my last season with excitement and reluctance, in the wise words of Spider-Man, I don’t wanna go.

“I hope they let me break the fourth wall”
