January’s YP of the Month is…

Annalise Jagt!!!

Annalise was first introduced to CYPT in 2022 by a good friend who knew they wanted to get into theatre and who pushed them to audition for the 2022 CANNONBALL festival. Annalise did, delivered a not very good audition (which they hope nobody in the audition room remembers, and regrets bringing up now) then promptly ignored CYPT for the next year. After taking a drama class at school and getting a little more comfortable on stage Annalise returned to audition for WHIMSY and got hooked. In the year since then, Annalise played in the Ensemble and the band of WHIMSY, played Aspen in The Inner Workings of a Concert Flute and worked backstage as an ASM on Sasquatch Sally and Dear Santa and will be part of CYPTs Rodeo Clowns as part of the High Performance Rodeo in the new year. Outside of theatre, Annalise is a singer, both with choirs through school and elsewhere as well as being a visual artist and a musician, playing bass clarinet in their schools symphonic band where they are both a section leader and the student music council vice president. No matter where they go in these coming years after their high school graduation, Annalise is and will always be immensely grateful to CYPT for all of the wonderful people they have met as well as the opportunities they have been given to explore and grow both onstage and off.
