February YP of the Month

February’s YP of the Month is…

Ana Morrow!!!

Ana has been a part of CYPT for a ripe 7 years where she started her journey doing summer camps with the company. She fell in love with CYPT watching mainstage shows and dreaming about how one day she could be on that stage. And it happened! Ana has done many CYPT shows over the years with her first show being SNOW WHITE in 2019 where she played Spiffy the dwarf. She then performed as Duane the toy soldier in THE NUTCRACKER: A NEW ADVENTURE the following winter. Then something quite unfortunate happened… the pandemic hit. Although there weren’t any mainstage shows for Ana to be a part of she still found a way to continue her passion in theatre and was a part of the COVID-19 project ECHO CHAMBER. She would then go on to do three years of Cannonball shows including TERROR: A LOVE STORY, PURLOIN: IN THE COMPANY OF SCOUNDRELS, and WILD THINGS AND WISPS. She also has had some experience in stage managing where she was one of the assistant stage managers for FRIENDS OF MINE/THE TUESDAY CREW. Last month she also performed at Calgary’s High Performance Rodeo in the 10 MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL with CYPT! Now she is finally returning to the mainstage this March playing Adina in THE INNER WORKINGS OF A CONCERT FLUTE, so come check that out!

Ana has been apart of the CYPT family for a long time and is incredibly thankful for all the people in the company who have helped her become the actor she is today. She is sad to be graduating soon and have to depart from CYPT but she is so happy to have made so many memories with so many people at the company. And she is still creating those memories while doing rehearsals for the spring show! She can’t wait to come back and watch all the amazing shows that will be put on and to watch the next generation of actors at CYPT. She would like to thank Jamie and Kristin for helping her through her acting journey since she was 10 years old, and she would like to thank all her fellow actors for being so supportive and caring towards her for the past 7 years.

“Kerplunk!”
