On Christmas Eve, a cabin full of children welcome two unexpected and opposing groups of soldiers, seeking refuge.
For just one night, could the sounds of warfare fade to the background?
Could a brief moment of respite invite us to lay down our arms and bask in the childlike wonder of the season?
Inspired by Truce in the Forest, an autobiographical short story by Fritz Vincken about a real Christmas he experienced as a child in World War 2, this show asks what happens when the fire of war meets the hearth of humanity.
