About The Play
The Canterville Ghost
The resident ghost of Canterville Chase, Sir Simon de Canterville, is nothing short of vexed when an American family moves into his family’s grand English estate. Sir Simon has successfully terrified generations inhabitants, but the Otis family doesn’t seem to be frightened quite so easily. In this battle between a devious ghost and a determined family, who will win? From the genius mind of Oscar Wilde (The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Gray) and the adventurous imagination of director Javier Vilalta comes a brand new, immersive, and experimental theatrical experience that will sure to leave your hair standing on edge!
This production is part theatre and part haunted house, and audience members will not be seated during the performance but instead invited to walk around the Canterville mansion to explore as the story unfolds around them.
