Each year, CYPT produces 3-5 mainstage plays which are performed at our West Village Theatre location. Our productions are directed, stage managed, and designed by professionals, and completely performed by youth age 4- 19.

Casting of our mainstage productions is by audition, and auditions are held several times a year, usually in August/September and sometimes again in the spring.

The tuition for our mainstage plays is $500, however we never want financial considerations to prevent any child from auditioning, so we maintain a bursary fund to support any family for whom that fee is restrictive.  We offer a number of options ranging from payment plans for those who’d prefer to pay in installments, partial bursaries, and full bursaries.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us at admin@cypt.ca if you’d like to apply for a bursary!

Our Cannonball Festival of Youth Led Theatre puts the kids in charge of writing, directing, stage managing, and even producing their own one-act plays! Each show is given a small budget, rehearsal space, and the mentorship needed to take it from page to stage.

Cannonball  is a completely free experience for participants, with NO tuition fee.

Applications for submissions from writers, directors, and designers are due in late summer.  Auditions are typically held in January or February of each year.

Founded in 2014, The Outpatient Collective is a group of recently graduated CYPT participants who work together to write a show for the following year’s season. Each year’s collective is made up of a new group of graduates.  This experience is completely free. To take part, email Kristin at ad@cypt.ca.
