Duval Lang Theatre for Young Audiences Award

On June 24, 2024 our very own Jamie Dunsdon, along with the incredible Karen Youngberg of Arts Commons,  was awarded the Duval Lang Theatre for Young Audiences Award. This special juried award is given away every year and designed to celebrate an individual who has made a significant contribution to Theatre for Young Audiences. The award is sponsored by our friends at Quest Theatre, and named after the founding Artistic Director of Quest, Duval Lang. We are so excited and thank them for celebrating the amazing Jamie Dunsdon.

Jamie has accomplished so much in her DECADE LONG tenure at CYPT as Artistic Producer, we can’t even count on our fingers and toes. From streamlining administrative duties, to overseeing and upping our overall production quality, to championing young artists to spear-heading our next phase of development, The CYPT Community Dreams Shop. Jamie can do anything from fixing a sink to writing a beautiful play to building a life-sized Sasquatch puppet. She is constantly finding ways to make things better and she leads with a YES WE CAN attitude and never gives up! CYPT is so lucky to have Jamie and her incredible artistry and vision guiding us into the future! Congratulations on your well deserved award Jamie Dunsdon.
