Teo Lee-Tibbals first got the chance to work with CYPT in the summer of 2023, when he was cast as Colonel Mustard in Clue. He fell in love with the community built around the company and has auditioned for their plays every chance he got since. Scheduling conflicts prevented him from going for any other mainstage shows that season, but he participated in the 2024 Cannonball Festival as the Ghost Hunter in The Ghost of Who Knows What. He then jumped at the opportunity for another summer show and got cast as Harry in A Monster Calls. He almost didn’t decide to audition to be a Rodeo Clown, but thankfully he decided to take the risk and he ended up having a fantastic and informative experience. Since then he’s had a blast applying what he learned to play Porkchop in The Smoking Gun, and Papa in the 2025 Cannonball Festival’s Beauty Pageant.
Teo dearly loves all the people he’s met through CYPT, and every minute he’s spent with the company. In a little under 2 years he’s gone from being confused whenever anyone would mention a past CYPT production, to having an understanding of most of the plays put on in recent memory. He’s overjoyed to feel like a solid presence within CYPT, and he can’t wait to continue to work with the friends he’s made, and the ones he will make, as he continues his theatre journey. Teo wants to work professionally in theatre, and he will carry his time and experiences with CYPT for the rest of his life. No matter where he ends up or what he ends up doing, Teo hopes to maintain a connection to the company through it all.
“I’m gonna miss the taste of glue…”
