David is a senior-executive level CPA known for leading teams in the not-for-profit sector through significant transformational and organizational change.  David is adept at navigating complex environments to develop strategies and deliver results, balancing business sense with financial acumen to create value and push change.  David has been the Treasurer of CPYT for two years and believes in the power of providing a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn, grow and belong.  David is currently the CFO at Vecova Centre for Disability Service and Research where he leads the finance, business development, facilities and risk management portfolios.  Prior to Vecova, David has worked as the controller at Bethany Care, a Calgary-based operator of long-term care facilities and as the Director of Finance with the National Music Centre as that cultural organization designed, built and then operated a leading-edge, architectural masterpiece museum, recording studio and live music venue in Calgary. With deep roots in Stratford, Ontario, David has been connected with Shakespearean plays and theatre since a child.  David resides in Calgary with his partner and two teenage boys.  The family enjoys scuba diving, skiing, and travelling (pre-COVID of course).
