David is a Calgary-based actor, writer, and director. He was born in St. John’s, NL and holds a BFA in Acting (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta. He has worked professionally on stage, and in film and television throughout Canada.

David got his start on stage in grade school competing in the Canadian Improv Games, and went on to coach improv after graduating. Now, he independently coaches actors of any age, with a focus on vocal training and audition techniques for film and television. If you haven’t read the word “coach” in his bio enough yet, he also worked for years as a tennis coach, instructing children from 3-18. Those kids bestowed him with the moniker “Coach Dave,” which he still answers to today.
