About Cole
As an alumni of Calgary Young People’s Theatre with over 12 years of involvement (2005-2017), Cole is ecstatic to join CYPT in a new capacity on the Board of Directors. Currently serving as the President of the AMS of UBC Vancouver (AMS) – the largest and leading student union in Canada with combined assets of over $130 million – Cole has over three years of strategic leadership experience in the non-profit sector. With a professional background in project management, marketing, and the performing arts, he has a slate of diverse experiences that support his passion for community-focused development.
At the AMS, Cole’s work as President focuses on four core areas he’s passionate about; strategic development, business management, policy development, and community engagement. Alongside his work as President, Cole is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Political Science and enjoys skiing, hockey, travelling, and writing music when he’s out of the office. An avid lover of the performing and visual arts (with a soft-spot for sound design), he is excited to be able to once again contribute to supporting the rapidly-growing Calgary arts scene.
