Ayla is a CYPT alumni and Betty Mitchell Award-nominated actor who has appeared on stages across Calgary. Performances include A Dinner Party (Bad Knaps), The Humans (Theatre Calgary), Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet (TSC + Handsome Alice), and playing the title character in Drunk Hamlet (TSC). She is a long-time ensemble member of the Late Late Breakfast Show sketch comedy group and worked alongside Haysam Kadri as the Associate Producer of The Shakespeare Company for just over a decade. Ayla trained at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA and holds a BFA in Drama from the UofC. In 2020, she was named “Calgary’s Best Actor – when Andrew Phung is not in town” by Avenue Magazine.
