How to Write a Bio

Your bio is designed to share with the audience a little bit about you and about your performance experience.  Most bios are written in 3rd person.  Actors will often included past productions they’ve worked on and the companies they’ve worked for.  You may also include some personal information, like what grade you are in, other hobbies, and any thanks you’d like to offer.

Eg.

JANE DOE

Jane is in grade 8, and when she’s not acting, she loves playing the tuba with her retro-punk band, The Brass Tax.   Other shows Jane has appeared in include: A Little Princess, Holmes and Watson, Wooer’s Woods (CYPT); A Charlie Brown Christmas (The Brampton Theatre Centre), and; The Diary of Anne Frank (Moncton Theatre Projects).  She would like to thank her mom and dad for supporting her!
