January YP of the Month

Happy 2026! And here at CYPT, a new year means a new YP of the month! This month’s YP will be wowing audiences in our upcoming spring production of My Own Personal Hell (written by the 2025 Outpatient Collective), AND is the author of Penumbrae, coming to this year’s Cannonball! Festival, but you’ve seen her dazzle our stage both as an actor and assistant stage manager. AND she was an incredible summer camp superstar this last summer! Is there anything she can’t do?!?
We give you:

Nina Addleman!!!

Nina’s CYPT experiences may have been short, but they’ve truly changed her life. From teen summer camps where instructors urged her to audition (a million thanks to Brianna!) to her first show with CYPT, she’s been so grateful for every experience with the company. Ever since her first camp in 2023, she’d wanted to audition, but alas, is cursed with the memory of a fruit fly and is excellent at forgetting goals until the following year. Thankfully, she continued camps and finally got around to auditioning in August of 2024, where she landed her first role. Playing Lady Franklin in The Frozen Deep was a magical (and cannibalistic!) experience for her, and she’s incredibly grateful to have had such a wonderful introduction to the season and the company. Later that year, Nina performed in the 2025 Cannonball festival as Ruth in That I May Cease To Be, which inspired her to begin work on her own show. That summer, she had her final stage combat camp before spending the rest of her vacation volunteering with CYPT, helping kids create their own mini-shows and helping her realize that she’d like to pursue education in some form in her future. In fall of 2025, she took her first steps backstage as the ASM for Romeo and Juliet, granting her a whole new wealth of theatre experiences and knowledge (thank you, Jamie and Tonisha)! Next up, Nina will be performing in CYPT’s spring show, My Own Personal Hell, as Beatrice, which she’s absolutely thrilled about. In between rehearsals and school, she’s working on her Cannonball 2026 show, Penumbrae, as well as working as part of the 2026 Outpatient Collective. Nina hopes to continue her journey with CYPT as long as possible, and is so ready for what comes next!

“Everyone needs a little kindness sometimes.”
