It is with a broken heart we must announce the passing of one of our CYPT family. Our beloved Rachel Mah passed away suddenly on Monday. She was 15.
Rachel last appeared on stage as #00 (the Goalie) in the 2018 CYPT/Verb production of The Wolves. In years prior, Rachel appeared in multiple CYPT shows, including Peter Pan, Macbeth, No Exit, Atlantis, Richard III, The Lost Prince, and The Curse of the House of Atreus. She also performed professionally in Verb Theatre’s production of Blackbird and Theatre Calgary’s A Christmas Carol. She was deeply loved here at Calgary Young People’s Theatre and will be missed more than we can possibly say.
Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and loved ones. Please enjoy these photos of our beautiful Rachel doing what she did so well at our theatre. We will treasure these times.
