April YP of the Month

April YP of the Month

Spring is springing and the weather is kind of warm sometimes and  the ground is abloom with …snow mould?

Well spring is right around the corner, but at CYPT it is already here, for April’s YP of the Month is a breath of fresh spring air.  We first met this fabulous young lady when she attended our teen improv class way back in 2014. And then she popped up two years later when she auditioned for our Cannonball! Festival. And boy were we glad to see her. Since then she has appeared in Life in the Realm and Macbeth and is currently a part of the Outpatient Collective who are busy writing next season’s November show.  She’s quickly become a member of the CYPT family and we’re so pleased to call her one of us.  And who is this delightful darling of drama?

April’s YP of the Month is none other than,

This is Hanna’s first year with CYPT, but hey, better late than never! You may have seen her in the recent production of Macbeth, where she played Ross, or even in Life in the Realm from 2016’s Cannonball! festival. Hanna discovered her love for acting in her early teens after attending Theatre Alberta’s Artstrek, which showed her how creative and downright amazing theatre could be. Since then, she’s been hooked! Throughout the past few years, Hanna has been actively involved in Robert Thirsk High School’s drama program, performing in a variety of shows including an improv tournament, as well as Treasure Island, and The Matchmaker. When Hanna’s not in a production, you can find her either at the barn, or napping on the drama room couch.

One of the many things Hanna really loves about CYPT is how quickly everyone feels like family. She is constantly inspired by all the amazing people she gets to work with and learn from, and is so grateful to be a part of this community. Hanna would like to thank her family for always being supportive of her theatre addiction, as well as her friends at CYPT for all of the laughs and times shared over the year.

“The one thing I love the most about theatre is that it brings people together. It builds connections that wouldn’t have been created otherwise, and there’s something really beautiful about that.”
