Calgary Young People's Theatre prides itself on providing numerous development opportunities to young people to explore the performing arts and develop their creativity and team work skills.
Children can participate and gain confidence and theatrical skills by registering in one of our many classes or drama camp. Our advanced production programs require an audition, and result in professional productions in a professional Calgary theatre!
We have a number of experienced staff working at CYPT each with individual areas of theatrical expertise. Artistic Director Mat Mailandt coordinates the day-to-day organization and artistic planning of the company such as productions, annual programming and staffing. Our Registrar Erin Jenkins handles Camp and Class registrations. Instructors, Directors and Production Staff are all educational or theatre professionals and are all contracted on a project-to-project basis.
