Calgary Young People's Theatre Casino Fundraiser
July 3-4, 2008
On July 3rd and 4th, 2008 CYPT will be the volunteer organization chosen to help run the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. This is CYPT's biggest fundraising event of the year, as CYPT will receive a percentage of the Casino's income that night for our efforts. But we can't do it without you! In order to run the casino, we need your help.
We need to have a volunteer for each position crucial to the Casino's activity, for the shifts listed below. Please take a look at the schedule and let us know if you are able to lend a hand and work one of these shifts. The money raised from this event will help fund CYPT classes, camps and productions alike. Your support translates into an even greater experience for the youth involved in our programs.
All positions will be assisted by an experienced Casino Advisor, and no experience is necessary. You will receive on-the-spot training, as well as free food and beverages from the casino restaurants.

Positions and Requirements
- General Manager - Responsible for total operation of the casino as well as ensuring that all volunteers are present for their shifts
- Alternate GM - Needed in the event that the scheduled GM is not able to work their shift
- Banker - Controls cahier's cage floats, monitor's cashier activities
- Chip Runner - Courier for chip request from casino games (must be able to carry up to 5lbs of chips)
- Cashier - Cashes in chips for players and makes change
- Count Room - Sorts, counts and verifies all cash from table games
- Count Room Supervisor helps to record cash counts and game win/losses
July 3rd:
- 1 General Manager 10:30am - 7pm
- 1 General Manager 6:30pm - Close
- 1 Alternate GM (all day, if needed)
- 1 Banker 10:30am - 7pm
- 1 Banker 6:30pm - Close
- 2 Chip Runners - 11am -7pm
- 2 Chip Runners - 6:30 pm - Close
- 6 Count Room - 10pm - Close
July 4th:
